I have put off blogging about this for over 2 months, mainly because it's been such a dicey situation, we wanted to wait until we knew something more concrete before we shared our news. We are currently in the process of buying a house in Fort Worth. When I tell you this has been such an area of stress in our lives, that is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I will try and summarize our 2 month long saga as best I can, but forgive me if it gets a little long. Early July, I started toying with the idea of looking at houses, it was never anything serious, I would just search the Internet and play with the numbers to see if it was actually even a remote possibility. We found houses we like but still seemed a little out of our price range so we were pretty sure that we were destined to stay in an apartment until Andrew graduated, a couple years down the road. I still persisted in my searching the Internet when I came across a small 2 Bdr. house in Fort Worth, priced in the 60's, which is something I defiantly didn't expect to find because I was previously looking in the 80's range, unsuccessfully finding anything cheaper than that. We drove by it, and it was cute so I really wanted to go in and look at it. We called to realtor and went the next day. It's an older home and defiantly needs work, but for the price I don't think we could find anything better or maybe even similar. After talking with the realtor we found out why it was priced so reasonably, it was a short sale. Still after all this I am not 100% sure what the correct definition on a short sale is, but from what I understand is that the owner owed more on the house than what it was worth, and was unable to pay the bills, therefore the bank was selling the house, which is where all the problems came from. To make a really long drawn out story slighter shorter, we made an offer on the house in July, a couple of days after we looked at it, and had to wait on the bank approval. We put a stipulation in our contract that they had to respond within 14 days, but apparently they pretty much do their own thing and make their own rules because we didn't get an approval for over 60 days! During that 60 days we had to inform our apartment of our plans, so we had to tell them we were moving if we planned on waiting on the house. Luckily it worked out but we would of had to move even if we didn't get the house which was stressful. So now we are in the process of getting our mortgage loan, which is not fun, apparently banks don't want to even bother with you if your mortgage isn't over 100,000, but I think we finally found a company that has given us reasonable closing costs and down payment. We close on the 21st of this month if all goes smoothly, but I feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop because we have gone through so much thus far, but hopefully it won't and we will be all moved in by the end of the month. Moral of the Story a short sale should be renamed a LONG sale, and don't jump into one unless your very patient because its stressful!

The Rest of the Summer in Pics
We had an awesome summer, and now that it's over maybe I should finally blog about it! Our trip to Florida and Disney World was everything I could of hoped for! It was too short and I was not ready to be home!! I just adore Disney World, seriously is the happiest place on earth, even if it is pouring rain! Anyway hopefully our Fall will be just as awesome as our Summer, enjoy the pics, and hopefully it wont be months before you hear from us again! Ha! :)

La Nouba was so awesome! I heard it was good but had no idea how good, even the husband was amazed. I am so glad we spent the extra money and went, it was beyone worth it and more!! If you ever have the chance to go do it you won't regret it my husband didn't even though I am pretty sure he thought he would!
If you see a crab while at the beach, DON'T CHASE AFTER IT AND PICK IT UP!
Use my husband as an example! :) If you need a good laugh go ahead and disregard my advice.

You can't really tell here, but our second day at Disney World, it poured, and we were soaked! We were miserably wet, but never waited in line for anything and probably wouldn't of been able to do as much as we did in 2 days!
Anyone who knows me or went to our wedding reception, knows I love love Cinderella! So anything at Disney World remotely related to Cinderella I loved!
Ok, you probably heard about the monorail accident where the driver was killed, well this happened the day before we went, and on our first day the monorails were all closed and I just thought it was a fluke cuz I didn't know of this accident, because my sneaky husband decided it was best not to tell me, cuz he wanted to ride the monorail and he knew I wouldn't if I knew. So he may look sweet and innocent but trust me he is sneaky!

We went on this boring attraction, just cuz it was there and our guide book told us to, but it turned out to be one of our favorite things, as soon as we got through the boring part it opened us up to Disney's greenhouse, it was absolutely amazing, they grew everything and anything. Our favorite thing was the 9 pound lemon and limes, never seen anything like it!
Use my husband as an example! :) If you need a good laugh go ahead and disregard my advice.

Summer Recap Part 1: Pensacola Beach
Andrew and I went to Florida for a week this summer. It was really nice to get away and spend some alone time together. Before we left Andrew was really busy with his summer semester so we were very eager to be able to relax and spend time together. Andrew got out of school Thursday and we left for Florida on Saturday. We drove about 12 hours until we got to Pensacola. The drive wasn't really bad at all, pretty boring, trees get old after awhile, but it could of been worse... We were in Pensacola for the 4Th of July, and they put off a pretty great fireworks display. It was fun to sit out and watch the fireworks over the ocean. We found the people of Pensacola to be quite interesting to say the least...one lady in particular who got in a fight and was yelling so loud, I seriously thought she was going to get arrested. This is where I don't understand people, I mean did she really not care that hundreds of people were watching her make a fool out of herself? It's funny cuz Andrew was taping the fireworks and I think she thought we were taping her, cuz she gave Andrew a really weird look...needless to say he shut it off pretty fast, but the audio on our 4Th of July video is pretty entertaining! The next day we spent at the beach. Pensacola Beach really is breathtaking! The sand is white and the water was very clear. We had such a good time there, I think both of us decided we wanted to move there, who knows maybe one day!

New Callings
Andrew and I both received new callings about a week or so ago. Andrew is now the Executive Secretary and I am the Co Sunbeam teacher, as well as the ward bulletin specialist. Don't tell the husband but I think he was pretty nervous when they called him to set up an appointment to meet with a member of the Stake Presidency. As for me I am excited about teaching Primary again, and it helps a lot that it's my favorite age group! I love kiddos and there are some pretty dang cute ones in out ward, so it fits.

Sporadic
1. When Andrew and I got married I inherited a bunch of the cutest neices and nephews, but I am now a proud aunt of a niece on my side of the family. It's really crazy to think Nat has a baby, I just can't believe we are that old, wasn't it just yesterday I was mad at her for never playing barbies with me after she set up the house? Really though I love being an aunt and wish more of them lived closer!
2. Happy Cinco de Mayo, makes me want to run out and get some good grub from one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, now if I could only decide which one...Pappasitos? Uncle Julio's? El Rancho Grande?
3. After two free washers that got us through a year and a half of marriage, we finally had to invest in a new one. I think I jinxed us because the night before our hand me down broke I was just talking about getting out of debt, and how exciting it was, then out of no where BOOM! I was so disappointed, because a washer is not something I was very excited about spending our money on, but after using it, I don't ever want to do laundry without it!
4. I started my diet yesterday, well not so much of a diet, I am just trying to work out and eat healthier. We will see how it goes. I hate getting home at 6:00 because once we work out and I get dinner finished it's 8:00 before we sit down and eat, and I know eating that late isn't good for you. We'll see how it goes, I will update you on my progress (well if it's good), because my Wii Fit sure wont forget to tell me how I am doing! Is it crazy that it bugs me when a game makes me give it a reason I gained .25 lbs? Yes I ate too much...obviously!
5. I am beyond ready for summer! Not only do I have my vacation in July, I am just ready for it too be hot! I hate dreary days where it looks like it's going to rain but never does, which is what we seem to have had for the past 10 days!
6. I am pretty sure I suck at blogging! It's not that I never think about doing it because trust me I have lots of unpublished blogs its just that we don't live a very exciting life! I mean do people want to hear that I went to work, and to the grocery store, and home? No not really, but I guess I will try and spice up our life so we have something to blog about!
7. I am OVERLY addicted to the Monopoly game Albertsons is playing! I have a very obsessive, competitive personality, those of you who know me well enough shouldn't be that surprised by this. I mean how smart is Albertsons to do something like this to suck shoppers like me into an addicting game like this? I am completely aware that when I shop at Wal Mart I spend so much less but I keep finding excuses why we have to go to Albertsons, just so I can get tickets, I even go as far to make Andrew check out separately so we get more! Sad I know, I think I need an intervention. I am just going to put this out there, anyone with unused tickets just lying around feel free to go ahead and pass them on to me. :)

March Madness

I generally don't follow college sports, but I love March Madness. I think it's the competitiveness in me, but something about it really excites me. My bracket did okay the first day, I was 12 of 16. I am tied with everybody at work, but Andrew is ahead of me right now (It won't last long). The most disappointing thing for me though was BYU's loss to Texas A&M! Let me go on record that is the last time I will ever pick a Utah team over a Texas team, I should of stayed true to my Texan heart, I've learned my lesson!! My National Champion pick is North Carolina, and they smashed Radford, so hopefully it's a sign of things to come.
Go Tar Heels!!
