Every day I love him more and more. He really is the love of our lives! He has learned so much over the past 2 months, he seems like such a big boy now and I HATE it. I don't want him to grow up, despite that it sure is fun to watch!

He loves to be outside.

He has 6 teeth, four on top, two on bottom.

He LOVES books, even more recently, it’s typically the only time he will sit still on my lap. His favorites are the Usbourne That’s Not My books, it probably goes back to his love of textures.

He still is not a good sleeper at night, but his naps are getting better.

He self feeds like a pro, and prefers to feed himself rather than Andrew and I feeding him.

He loves table food. Especially flour tortillas, bread, and potatoes. He definitely prefers this to baby food.

He loves his high chair.

He likes to put his feet on everything.

He is getting braver at standing up on his own. He pulls up on absolutely everything but is still scared of letting go. I have seen him do this and stand for a couple seconds but once he realizes he is doing it he stops rather quickly.

He loves his Grammie, probably more than Andrew and I.

He still thinks Isabelle hung the moon.

He is showing frustration.

He likes to drop things on the floor and have you pick it up OVER and OVER again!!

He thinks any time we drink water out of a glass he needs to have some.

He won’t use a sippy cup very well. Loves his bottle, I have a feeling this is going to be a hard transition.

He climbs stairs.

He likes to sit on his knees.

He LOVES balls. He spends a lot of his day chasing them around the house.

He loves his Melissa and Doug toolbox. Well it’s actually Isa’s and it’s at my mom’s but every time we go over there it’s the first thing he goes and gets and he knows exactly where we keep it.

He is not really shy.

If you say bonk he head buts you. I love it!! Although he is recently not into it as much.

He says ma ma, da da, and ba, which I am pretty sure he knows means ball.

He shakes his head ALL the time. Super cute.

He gives the best hugs.

He always pulls my hair. I hate it!!!

He also always pulls my glasses off my face. I hate this even more.

He loves dogs, especially Bandit. This is not helping my argument that I NEVER want a dog!

He loves bluey, which is his blanket, which he has to sleep with.

He still loves textures, especially bluey, purply, Andrew’s basketball shorts, my Gma Bute blanket, and hair, even his own.

He still takes reflux medication, and still very pukey baby.

He loves peek a boo. He covers his face with bluey all on his own. He also likes to play with our living room curtains.

He likes Blue’s Clues, Jake and the Never Land pirates, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. He mainly likes the music I think, he doesn’t ever sit there and watch it, and if he does it’s usually Blue’s Clues.

I love when he gets scared because I get the biggest hug! Is that mean?

He loves trying to climb on our fireplace, but I recently scared him of the fireplace screen which has seemed to fix this problem.

He likes his car seat and looking at us through the windows.

He likes his reflection and will “bonk” himself. He usually does this in the high chair tray or a mirror.

He is a daddy’s boy. Andrew would beg to differ, only because he doesn’t want to hurt my feelings.

He still loves bath time. I don’t think this will ever change.

He is so frikin cute, I could go on and on, I may even add as I think about it. I love him so much, he is such a wonderful

Better late than never

This is late, Levi is 8 months old, but I don’t care, I don’t know why I have it in my head that if I don’t get it done before he passes that particular month then I can’t do it?!?!?!

He crawls everywhere! He typically doesn’t stay in one place too long, he is always on the go.

He pulls up on everything, much to my dislike! It scares me, he busted his lip once already, and I would really rather him NEVER get hurt again, but he loves it and tries on absolutely everything, so what can a mama do?

He loves pillows! Its adorable. Anytime he sees one, tired or not, he lays his head on it. So cute!

He is OBSESSED with my hair! OUCH! First thing he does when he sees me when I get home from work, go for my hair, I can tie it all up, and he will pull it out of the rubber band!

He love loves Isa! He just looks at her and laughs!

He is and never really has been a good sleeper.

He loves food, he now eats Gerber Puffs, & yogurt melts, he loves them!

He wants to play with everything he shouldn’t, there can be a room full of toys and he will find the one thing he can’t play with.

He still loves bath time!

He loves to hold things in his mouth and crawl around, it’s hilarious, Nat brought home the hospital paci’s when she had the twins, I wanted to see if he would like that brand and take a paci. He does like them, but he won’t use them correctly he just likes to chew on the side, and keep it in his mouth while he crawls, don’t put the nipple in his mouth he will take it out and put it back in sideways! He has a mind of his own.

He likes to be outside. When the weather is nice we go for walks and he loves it. He is usually quiet just looking around and kicking his right leg. Don’t know why he only kicks one but he does.

He loves books, and his mama loves buying him books.

He can feed himself. He can take puffs from you, or pick them up and eat them. He isn’t perfect but he does a pretty good job.

He sits in a high chair now.

He hates to be contained. This makes church difficult. Three hours is a long time for him, he always does good through sacrament, and halfway through Sunday school, then he is done.

He stands in his exersaucer and watches cartoons, his favorite is Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. I think he is starting to grow out of the exersaucer, he would just rather be able to crawl and stand, and explore.

He thinks my iPhone is his. He doesn’t ever go for Daddy’s but mine, I can’t even use it around him.

He is finding his voice more and more, he says bababa over and over again, along with some Levi noises that are just so cute.

He is starting to have a little temper. He definitely knows what he wants and gets upset if he can’t have it.

When he wakes up in the middle of the night, he is sitting up waiting for us to come get him.

He loves textures. He will sit and play with the carpet.

He loves to play in his crib, he can be as fussy as ever but you put him in there he is happy instantly. Now if we can only get him to sleep in it…

He sits in his big boy car seat

He has four teeth. Two bottom, two eye teeth. We are hoping he gets his front teeth soon so his Grammie will stop calling him vampire boy!

He copies me and Andrew. If you grunt at him he grunts back.

He is such a good boy, always happy! He is so cute! I don’t know what is wrong with me… My baby is 7 months old today! I can’t even believe it! Honestly I was telling Andrew last night how I can vividly remember the night I went into labor like it was yesterday. Time really does fly by so fast! I never did an update for Levi @ 4 or 5 months, and I don’t want to dwell on it because it may bring me to tears, and I know that I am a little late on his 6 month update, but it is better late than never…right?

Stats
Weight: 18lbs. 13 oz
Head: 46 1/2 inches
Height: 26 cm

· He LOVES toys, he loves laying on the floor and playing, seriously he plays all day. Currently his favorite toys are: taggy blanket, teething ring, elephant, baby Einstein bendy ball, and his exersaucer. He loves all his toys, but these are the ones he seems to play with the most.
· He loves Baby Einstein.
· He is already an Apple maniac like his father, well and maybe me, I do LOVE my iPhone. He loves my phone and holds both sides of it, he will get really upset and offended it you take it away from him. We have a Baby Einstein video uploaded onto my phone and he watches it regularly.
· He has 2 teeth.
· His hair is starting to come in, I even had to buy his very first baby brush, oh how happy that makes mommy.
· He is a mover and a shaker. He NEVER sits still. He plays on the floor a lot, and can get to wherever he wants to go very easily, whether he rolls, or does his very own version of crawling.
· He does planks, he gets up on all fours and sticks his booty in the air as high as it can go.
· He is practically crawling, maybe not the “correct” way but he definitely gets around. I have seen him crawl the right way a couple of times, but he prefers the “Levi” way of reaching and hopping. I know that does not make sense. I will try and get a video, it’s too cute.
· He still loves to stand up!
· Chews on everything, very drooly, I know this is attributed to the teething, but some of his toys just get so nasty.
· Starting to LOVE books. It’s so cute. I love it how he holds the book, and lets you turn the page and regains holds of both sides of the book. So fun.
· He is getting better at sitting up. He can actually sit himself up from a laying down position, and I really think he has the ability to sit up as long as he wants, the problem is, he does not ever stay in one position for very long.
· Bath time is still his absolute favorite time of day. We started putting toys in his bath, and he would stay there all day if we would let him, no joke, he never wants to get out. We typically get in with him and fill the tub up a good amount and he just chases after his toys, he loves it!
· He loves eating solid food. He is a pretty good eater and likes typically everything, he doesn’t really like peaches, but we gave him baby peach cobbler and he was fine with that, he just won’t eat straight peaches, weird!
· He loves getting out of the house, we don’t take him out enough, it kind of stresses me out a little, I don’t know why.
· He has been really sick. To date: Reflux, 3 ear infections, bronchitis, several colds, severe gas problems, milk protein allergy, high fever, heat rash, and currently double pink eye. It sucks. I don’t have any idea where he picks this stuff up. He is so sick right now and I am pretty sure his cold is about to turn into his 4th ear infection, hopefully not, our pediatrician has already broached the subject of tubes, which terrifies me.
· He loves Isa, he watches her, and tries to play with her. Sometimes she wants to be his best friend, others not so much. It’s so cute when they do play though.
· He has such a big personality, I love it. He smiles and laughs and just loves life and I love him.
· He has stranger danger, which I don’t really love.
· He loves staring at Uncle Curt, it’s hilarious. He just watches him and smiles, all the time.
· He is very aware of when we are eating and I hate eating in front of him. He gets so sad and offended that we don’t share and it breaks my heart.
· He loves juice.
· He loves textures, he scratches everything.
· He is a fighter. He doesn’t go to sleep very easily, he climbs me, it’s so frustrating, especially when I know he is so tired.
· He loves my hair, much to my disliking.
· He cries if you take away something he wants.

Levi, I feel so lucky and blessed to be your mom. I never could of imagined how much I would love you. I cannot believe you are getting so big, I love watching you learn and discover new things, I want you to stay my little boy forever, so it makes me so sad how fast time has gone. You have been such a blessing to your daddy and I, and I can’t wait to watch you grow up. We love you so much!

Goals for November

I am going to try and set attainable goals for myself each month so here goes the first set, hopefully since I am putting this out there for the world to see i will hold myself accountable and actually reach some of these goals.

1.Start eating healthier.
a.stop eating out as much.
b.drink more water
c.limit sugar intake.

2.Start Fhe.

3.Read Scriptures.

4.Blog once a week.

5.Take a picture of Levi everyday.

6.Attempt to keep our house cleaner and more organized.

Hope y'all have a great November!

4 month well baby checkup

We took Levi to the doctor on Monday for his 4 month well baby check up, here are his stats:

Weight: 16 lbs 12 oz 90th percentile
Length: 25 in 75th percentile
Head: 44 ½ cm 95 percentile

So basically we have a really big boy, which is fine with me, except I always worry we are overfeeding him...but that's a subject for another blog post, since I am the definition of a worry wart. He got 2 shots and an oral vaccination. I seriously get sick to my stomach about 24 hours prior to his well baby checkups, because I know he is going to get shots and I absolutely HATE IT! He did fairly well, he obviously cried, but he was done by the time we got all of our stuff gathered to leave. He was a little fussier than normal but really nothing too terrible. He is just a tough boy. We get to start Levi on rice cereal. Our doctor recommended that we do rice cereal for 5 days then switch to oatmeal for 5 days then to barley for another five days, then after that we get to start mixing veggies in with the rice. My sis asked me if I was actually going to try barley, but I am anal retentive, so I probably will do exactly as out pediatrician says, but I am curious has anyone else's doctor recommended this? I am excited/sad about the whole giving him food thing, I am excited because I know he will love it but at the same time sad because he is growing up and I just want him to stay little forever!

3 months

Wow considering my baby turns 4 months tomorrow I figured I better blog about Levi at 3 months! I just went back an read my 2 month blog post and it blows me away how much he has changed within a month!

Still obsessed with his hands, they are always in his mouth

Almost every time he eats he puts his hands on his bottle like he is trying to hold it.

Rolls over. Almost every time he is on his back he rolls over onto his tummy, which is funny because he hates tummy time, and complains the whole time he is on his tummy, but if you roll him back over within a minute he rolls himself back on his tummy. He has rolled from his tummy to his back he just does not do it near as often.

Still loves to stand up, maybe even more so. His legs are getting stronger and stronger.

Sleeps in his crib now, it's still in the adjustment period but the bassinet has been taken apart and put away.

Still loves bath time!

Starting to notice toys. Will even grab and play with some.

Likes being outside, but HATES the sun in his eyes!

Has bad allergies that seem to be getting a lot worse. He is on an allergy medicine but poor little guy is always so stuffy!

Reflux seems to be getting better! Prevacid is expensive but amazing. He still spits up and pukes a lot but it does not seem to hurt him or bother him like it used to.

Had his 2nd ear infection in his short 3 months of life.

Still loves to eat! It's cute, if you hold his bottle in front of him he totally recognizes what it is.

He hold his head up so much better!

Loves when you stick out your tongue at him, he always gets excited and smiles, and sometimes he even tries to emulate you.

When he is super happy he makes this high pitched squeal.

Starting to laugh!!

Loves getting dressed! He loves when your are taking off or putting on his onsie, if you say "Where's Levi?" Gets a smile every time.

Finding his ears and his feet, he seems to have one or both of them in his hands the majority of the time.
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; I went back to work about a month ago, and my life these days seems to be in disarray since. Anyone who knows me well enough knows I am a planner and like my life very structured and lately it just hasn't been and it's driving me crazy! I don't know how working mothers do it! If any of you do, I could use the advice. I get home at 4:45 everyday and all I want to do and feel as if I should do is spend time with Levi, therefore household chores severely get ignored. My husband goes to school a couple of nights a week, and those nights are even worse as he leaves 15 minutes after I get home. We typically don't eat dinner till 10:00 on those nights, healthy right? I just have not found the right balance yet, and can't wait until I do because everything is so unorganized. There are so many things that I would like to do but I am just lacking time to do it. Cooking, cleaning, scrapbooking, working out, shopping, ect... I feel guilty wanting to do any of those things because I feel as if I should only spend time with Levi while I am home. I never used to feel as if I needed more hours in the day, oh how many things change when you become a mother!

2 months

Weighs: 14lbs. 10 oz. 90th percentile

Length: 24 in. 75th percentile

Head: 42 cm. 90th percentile

Loves to be held, we rarely put him down.

Had his tongue clipped

Had his first set of shots

Loves to lay on the floor or our bed on his back and just kick his legs and wave his arms, he gets so excited!

Starting to find his voice, and coo! Grunting less! Very vocal baby! Always making some sort of noise.

Loves to stand up, he would do this all day if we would let him but mommy and daddy's arms do get tired.

Loves being at home, he is getting better at going out but he definitely knows when we are home.

Loves bath time, but hates getting out of the bath.

Hates having his back rubbed or being burped except if he is tired then he wants us to gently pat his back.

Starting to sleep in his bassinet more. Still prefers for daddy to hold him in the recliner at night, but is getting better and sleeping longer in his bed.

Reflux still bothers him, he still spits up a lot but since we have changed his medicine from zantac to prevacid it is greatly improved.

Very mellow, just a very laid back baby, even when his cousin Isabelle wants to hug him, kiss him, poke his belly button, change his diapers, kick him, or throw her baby at him, he pretty much just lays there.

Loves and I mean loves to suck on his fingers, sometimes he gags himself trying to stick his whole fist in his mouth. It's crazy because on the sonogram pictures he always had his hands close to or in his mouth, and has basically been chewing on them since day one.

Loves to eat. Some days he wants to eat all day long!

Has allergies, lately he has been sneezing and coughing a lot and is very congested at night. And his poor little eyes get so red and watery.

Starting to smile a lot more, it's so cute!!

When I am holding him and he is trying to sleep, he grabs my hair and holds a death grip on it! I do not enjoy this, as he does not usually let go till he wakes up or I pry it out of his hand.

Very loved, it's a lot of work but we couldn't imagine our life without him.

Loves music.

Starting to notice the fan and lights.

Likes when you lift his arms up and stretch him.

Levi Ryan Amon

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; joined our family on June 19, he is 3 weeks old. The time has flown by so fast, I can't believe he is already that old, it makes me sad, I feel like it was just yesterday that I was laying in the hospital waiting for him to arrive. I have wanted to document the story of his birth, and have been meaning to since we have been home, but getting on the computer much less blogging is not the easiest thing to do with a newborn, but he is asleep with his daddy so I thought instead of sleeping during this down time I would blog, because I don't want too much time to pass by and I forget any part of his birth, because it really was the most amazing day of my life. This is going to be long, but I just wanted to make sure I got every detail.

Every sonogram I had while I was pregnant with Levi measured his due date Sunday June 20th. Andrew and I really wanted him to be born on his due date because it was a special day in Andrew's family. June 20th is Levi's Great Grandma and Grandpa Amon's anniversary, his Uncle Tom's birthday, and it was also Fathers Day, but Levi didn't want to wait 1 more day to join our family, I guess he wanted a day all to himself. I worked all day Friday June 18th, I was having a lot of braxton hicks contractions and kept trying to leave early, but every time I did it got busy and I ended up staying the full day. When I got home Andrew and I made dinner then his sister, Ginney, came over to help him with his algebra. Our computer is in our bedroom and uses the same monitor as our TV, so I came and laid on the couch and watched TV while I drifted in and out of sleep for about and hour or so. I seriously could not get comfortable whatsoever, and I think Andrew could tell so he and Ginney finished up, I think it was about 10:00. When I got up off the couch I knew I felt different, I don't even think I said goodbye to Ginney, I just went straight to bed and tried to go to sleep. I still could not get comfortable because I was so hot, I could not cool down, and I was starting to get really nauseous. I ended up taking a cold bath, hoping it would make me feel better, but I got really sick to my stomach and threw up, and seriously throwing up 9 months pregnant sucks, as if all my muscles did not already hurt enough. Andrew gave me a blessing and I was able to go to sleep about 11:30. About an hour later I woke up and was starving so I got up and ate a handful of dry cereal, went to the bathroom and got back in bed. I was laying there trying to get comfortable and realized I was wet, I seriously thought I just had not wiped enough or something, so I got up to change and when I did I started dripping, but I really at that point did not think anything of it until it just kept dripping with each step I took. So I said to Andrew I think my water just broke, he jumps out of bed all ready to go and I am just standing at the end of our bed. I guess I was in shock because Andrew kept asking me what I wanted to wear and I just stood there unresponsive to his questions, all I could say was "I think we should call my mom." I guess I was not really sure my water had broke because I was expecting a big gush of water and all I was experiencing was a constant drip, but Andrew tried convincing me I was not just peeing myself and since there was blood on my legs I believed him. I finally got dressed after much debate about what I was going to wear, for some reason for a split second I thought I needed to wear something cute, I don't know what I was thinking in that second, as if it mattered. Andrew threw all the stuff in the car, we called my mom, and were on our way to the hospital. I had always heard that once your water breaks your contractions start immediately afterwords, but on the car ride there I honestly felt pretty good, I think I even said to Andrew, "I hope they don't send me home because I am not having contractions." We got to the hospital about 1:00 a.m. and since it was after business hours they don't have valet parking so Andrew was either going to drop me off or I would walk from the parking garage and like I said I was feeling good so I figured I would just walk. What a decision that was, the second I stepped out of the car, I got that gush of water I had been expecting earlier. I left the towels in the car so I had to walk in the hospital dripping wet, my pants were soaked and I was mortified. I kept trying to hide behind Andrew, we passed some guy outside, who said to me "don't worry my wife just did the same thing," which made me feel a little better. We walked into labor and delivery and there was two nurses sitting at the check in desk eating their dinner I guess. Here I am soaking wet dripping everywhere and one says to me "looks like you had an accident." They just kept eating while getting all my information, I was irritated, I felt like I was standing there for an hour. They finally got me into a room where I was able to change answer a million questions and be checked. When she checked me about 1:30 I was still only dilated to a 1, where I had been for 2 weeks, and 90% effaced. I was kind of shocked I figured since my water had broke I would at least be a little further than that. The nurse was not very reassuring, as she said you will probably be here a while. She was nice enough, she showed us how to monitor my contractions, which at this point were about 5-6 minutes apart and really were not horribly painful. I think I got to my delivery room a little after 2:00, got all situated, and that's when my contractions really started to hurt. The nurse had told me to let her know when I wanted my epidural and since she had not offered it to me I thought I was supposed to wait as long as I could, ya, I don't know what I was thinking. I finally had enough about 3:00 and asked for my epidural, which I had been pretty nervous about, as I had heard the needle was huge, but I was pleasantly surprised it did not hurt near as bad as I had originally thought. The next time she checked me I was at a 3, I was all excited as I was making progress on my own, but that was short lived as they decided to start me on pictocin anyways. I was a little nervous at that point because I really really did not want to have to have a C section, and all I knew about pictocin was that they gave it to Natalie and she never really progressed and they ended up giving her a C Section. At this point I was still in a lot of pain. They had given me a nifty little button to push with my epidural that would give me more meds if I thought I needed them, but I was a little afraid to push it because I did not want anyone to think I was a pain med junkie. The nurse ended up pushing it for me, and after that me and the button became good friends. For a while I was feeling pretty good, I was having contractions and did not even know it, but that was short lived. The next couple of times they checked me I was still at a 3. I am not sure at what times they checked me as it is all a little blurry. Andrew called his parents about 5, he had been wanting to call them for a while but I wanted to let everyone get as much sleep as possible, I think I called my mom about 5:45, I was ready for her to come, they told me I was almost to a 4 and for some reason I thought she needed to come sooner rather than later because I thought I would progress fast and she would miss everything. Andrew was able to get a little nap in, I could not sleep, despite the epidural and my precious little button the contractions in my back were hurting pretty bad, and I had a headache, no doubt due to no sleep, and having thrown up everything and not being able to drink water. My mom got there at 8:00, and honestly I could not believe we had already been there that long, the time really went by so fast. She brought Andrew breakfast which I know he was thankful for, and it was nice to have more company. Like I said the times are all a little blurry but I know they checked me about 12, and I was dilated to a 6. My nurse told me that it could be anytime, and then she informed me that anytime was about 4 hours, then I could be pushing for 3 hours since he was my first baby, the thought of 7 more hours was so tiring! I was so uncomfortable, Levi was very picky about how I laid in bed so they kept making me lay in uncomfortable positions and I would have to stay there for what seemed like forever. I also had to wear oxygen the whole time which was drying my mouth out, seriously all I wanted was a big glass of water. I can't remember why, but they checked me an hour later and I was at a 9. I was so excited! The excitement was short lived when it took me 3 hours to go from a 9 to a 10! So I guess the nurse was right about 4 hours! She realized I was at a 10, when she went to put some kind of contraption inside me and instead I got to start practice pushing. Since she had told me previously I could be pushing for 3 hours, I was a little nervous, but about 20-30 min. later we had to stop and wait for the Dr. When he came in I pushed through my first contraction, and he was like what the heck lets try again, 2 pushes later. my baby boy was laying on top of me. The whole thing was a little scary for me, I was pushing as hard as I possibly could because I did not want there to be any reason they would have to do a c section, then I hear someone say the cord is wrapped around his neck 3 times. I was scared to death. No one was talking to me, so I did not know if he was okay, Andrew kept assuring me he was okay but it was still scary. After the fact the nurses and Dr kept calling him a miracle baby, because his heart rate never dropped. They had no idea it was wrapped around even once. I know that I was blessed because Heavenly Father knew I did not want a c section, and if they had known they would of done an emergency one. Andrew said the Dr unwrapped it so fast. I remember when they laid him on me thinking oh my gosh he is huge, and I hope his head does not stay that shape forever. It was the most amazing, emotional moments of my life. Someone told me that the next day I would be sad because it was all over, and I thought they were crazy but they were right. Despite all the pain, I loved every second of it and I cant believe that it is all over, it went by so fast and I seriously would love to re live it. He weighed 8 pounds 7 ounces, and was born at 4:53 on June 19. He is such a blessing in our family. We love him so much, and will always think of him as our miracle baby!

Dear Heartburn,

You SUCK! I honestly meant to comment on everyones's blogs and say thank you personally, but our computer is on the fritz, and it absolutely drives me insane! I won't blame the computer solely for my lack of blogging because let's be honest I was never really that good at it in the first place, but it sure doesn't help.

As I am sure anyone can guess by the new layout, (thanks Nat), I had my 20 week appt. on Monday, and we are having a baby boy!! The sono was amazing he actually looked like a baby instead of just a dot on the screen. I think the whole thing is much more realistic to us now. We are so excited, now we need to come up with a name. Any suggestions? My husband seems to only veto instead of make suggestions, so it's still undecided, not even sure we have quite narrowed it down.

I have been able to feel him move since 18 weeks. I wasn't real sure what it was at first, but considering it happens every day and seems to be getting more and more noticeable, I know it's my little wiggle worm making his presence known, and he is definitely a wiggle worm, the sonographer told us he was making her chase him cause he moved around so much. I really don't mind though I love it, maybe could stand him not to kick my bladder so much but I will take what I can get.

A lot of people have been asking how I am feeling so here is a little update. I never had morning sickness too bad. Maybe that is why I have heartburn something awful! I really have to watch what I eat because I seem to get it with everything, especially Mexican food, which has my husband very distraught. Other than the heartburn the only other thing that bothers me too much is my back. I don't know why but I seem to get a lot of back pain, especially at night. It's very hard for me to get comfortable sometimes, and lately sleep hasn't been going to well, but overall everything has been going very smoothly and I am very lucky.

I have been noticing a lot how little tact some people have. I have been on the receiving end of some rather offensive comments lately. Some of my favorite...when announcing to my office I was pregnant one lady said "I thought you have been gaining weight, but I never would have guessed you were pregnant." Seriously so she just thought I was fat?!?!?! Keep in mind this was early pregnancy when I had gained nothing. A customer asked me a couple of weeks ago "Are you pregnant"? When I told her I was she replied with "Thank goodness because that would be really bad if you weren't." Then at work a lady commented that I was finally starting to show, and another lady I work with overheard and said, "starting to show? She is just all the sudden out there." Mostly I take these lovely little comments in stride, they are actually pretty funny, but am I way bigger than normal at 20 weeks? Where were you?

I am really eager to start buying things. I have such a difficult time restraining myself from going crazy! I guess that's why God gave us husbands! He did relent to letting me buy a couple of outfits on Monday, which I love, and every time I look at them they make me smile, they are so precious and small.

Ever since I have been pregnant, I have been feeling crafty. I typically leave crafts to my mom, because I am such a perfectionist and usually just frustrate myself so much I can't finish, but I have this real desire to become crafty. I really want to learn how to knit. I have seen the cutest booties and hats. We'll see, maybe one day. I have also decided I want to make the bedding, with lots of help from my mom of course. :) I am really excited to actually get started on all these projects I have been planning. Luckily it is a boy, otherwise I would of had absolutley nothing planned.

Sorry this is so long, but now when you check my blog and there is never anything new, you can just read another paragraph! Ha! :)

Merry Christmas

We're Moving Again!!!

I have put off blogging about this for over 2 months, mainly because it's been such a dicey situation, we wanted to wait until we knew something more concrete before we shared our news. We are currently in the process of buying a house in Fort Worth. When I tell you this has been such an area of stress in our lives, that is an UNDERSTATEMENT. I will try and summarize our 2 month long saga as best I can, but forgive me if it gets a little long. Early July, I started toying with the idea of looking at houses, it was never anything serious, I would just search the Internet and play with the numbers to see if it was actually even a remote possibility. We found houses we like but still seemed a little out of our price range so we were pretty sure that we were destined to stay in an apartment until Andrew graduated, a couple years down the road. I still persisted in my searching the Internet when I came across a small 2 Bdr. house in Fort Worth, priced in the 60's, which is something I defiantly didn't expect to find because I was previously looking in the 80's range, unsuccessfully finding anything cheaper than that. We drove by it, and it was cute so I really wanted to go in and look at it. We called to realtor and went the next day. It's an older home and defiantly needs work, but for the price I don't think we could find anything better or maybe even similar. After talking with the realtor we found out why it was priced so reasonably, it was a short sale. Still after all this I am not 100% sure what the correct definition on a short sale is, but from what I understand is that the owner owed more on the house than what it was worth, and was unable to pay the bills, therefore the bank was selling the house, which is where all the problems came from. To make a really long drawn out story slighter shorter, we made an offer on the house in July, a couple of days after we looked at it, and had to wait on the bank approval. We put a stipulation in our contract that they had to respond within 14 days, but apparently they pretty much do their own thing and make their own rules because we didn't get an approval for over 60 days! During that 60 days we had to inform our apartment of our plans, so we had to tell them we were moving if we planned on waiting on the house. Luckily it worked out but we would of had to move even if we didn't get the house which was stressful. So now we are in the process of getting our mortgage loan, which is not fun, apparently banks don't want to even bother with you if your mortgage isn't over 100,000, but I think we finally found a company that has given us reasonable closing costs and down payment. We close on the 21st of this month if all goes smoothly, but I feel like I am waiting for the other shoe to drop because we have gone through so much thus far, but hopefully it won't and we will be all moved in by the end of the month. Moral of the Story a short sale should be renamed a LONG sale, and don't jump into one unless your very patient because its stressful!

The Rest of the Summer in Pics

We had an awesome summer, and now that it's over maybe I should finally blog about it! Our trip to Florida and Disney World was everything I could of hoped for! It was too short and I was not ready to be home!! I just adore Disney World, seriously is the happiest place on earth, even if it is pouring rain! Anyway hopefully our Fall will be just as awesome as our Summer, enjoy the pics, and hopefully it wont be months before you hear from us again! Ha! :)

La Nouba was so awesome! I heard it was good but had no idea how good, even the husband was amazed. I am so glad we spent the extra money and went, it was beyone worth it and more!! If you ever have the chance to go do it you won't regret it my husband didn't even though I am pretty sure he thought he would!

If you see a crab while at the beach, DON'T CHASE AFTER IT AND PICK IT UP!
Use my husband as an example! :) If you need a good laugh go ahead and disregard my advice.

You can't really tell here, but our second day at Disney World, it poured, and we were soaked! We were miserably wet, but never waited in line for anything and probably wouldn't of been able to do as much as we did in 2 days!

Anyone who knows me or went to our wedding reception, knows I love love Cinderella! So anything at Disney World remotely related to Cinderella I loved!

Ok, you probably heard about the monorail accident where the driver was killed, well this happened the day before we went, and on our first day the monorails were all closed and I just thought it was a fluke cuz I didn't know of this accident, because my sneaky husband decided it was best not to tell me, cuz he wanted to ride the monorail and he knew I wouldn't if I knew. So he may look sweet and innocent but trust me he is sneaky!

We went on this boring attraction, just cuz it was there and our guide book told us to, but it turned out to be one of our favorite things, as soon as we got through the boring part it opened us up to Disney's greenhouse, it was absolutely amazing, they grew everything and anything. Our favorite thing was the 9 pound lemon and limes, never seen anything like it!

The husband's favorite ride, I have to admit it was pretty awesome, I was terrified, but it really felt like we were launching into space, wish we had more time to ride it again!! It was really nice to get away and spend some alone time together. Before we left Andrew was really busy with his summer semester so we were very eager to be able to relax and spend time together. Andrew got out of school Thursday and we left for Florida on Saturday. We drove about 12 hours until we got to Pensacola. The drive wasn't really bad at all, pretty boring, trees get old after awhile, but it could of been worse... We were in Pensacola for the 4Th of July, and they put off a pretty great fireworks display. It was fun to sit out and watch the fireworks over the ocean. We found the people of Pensacola to be quite interesting to say the least...one lady in particular who got in a fight and was yelling so loud, I seriously thought she was going to get arrested. This is where I don't understand people, I mean did she really not care that hundreds of people were watching her make a fool out of herself? It's funny cuz Andrew was taping the fireworks and I think she thought we were taping her, cuz she gave Andrew a really weird look...needless to say he shut it off pretty fast, but the audio on our 4Th of July video is pretty entertaining! The next day we spent at the beach. Pensacola Beach really is breathtaking! The sand is white and the water was very clear. We had such a good time there, I think both of us decided we wanted to move there, who knows maybe one day!

New Callings

Andrew and I both received new callings about a week or so ago. Andrew is now the Executive Secretary and I am the Co Sunbeam teacher, as well as the ward bulletin specialist. Don't tell the husband but I think he was pretty nervous when they called him to set up an appointment to meet with a member of the Stake Presidency. As for me I am excited about teaching Primary again, and it helps a lot that it's my favorite age group! I love kiddos and there are some pretty dang cute ones in out ward, so it fits.

Shout Out

Shout out to my husband who aced all his finals and got A's in all his classes this semester. When Andrew and I got married I inherited a bunch of the cutest neices and nephews, but I am now a proud aunt of a niece on my side of the family. It's really crazy to think Nat has a baby, I just can't believe we are that old, wasn't it just yesterday I was mad at her for never playing barbies with me after she set up the house? Really though I love being an aunt and wish more of them lived closer!

2. Happy Cinco de Mayo, makes me want to run out and get some good grub from one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, now if I could only decide which one...Pappasitos? Uncle Julio's? El Rancho Grande?

3. After two free washers that got us through a year and a half of marriage, we finally had to invest in a new one. I think I jinxed us because the night before our hand me down broke I was just talking about getting out of debt, and how exciting it was, then out of no where BOOM! I was so disappointed, because a washer is not something I was very excited about spending our money on, but after using it, I don't ever want to do laundry without it!

4. I started my diet yesterday, well not so much of a diet, I am just trying to work out and eat healthier. We will see how it goes. I hate getting home at 6:00 because once we work out and I get dinner finished it's 8:00 before we sit down and eat, and I know eating that late isn't good for you. We'll see how it goes, I will update you on my progress (well if it's good), because my Wii Fit sure wont forget to tell me how I am doing! Is it crazy that it bugs me when a game makes me give it a reason I gained .25 lbs? Yes I ate too much...obviously!

5. I am beyond ready for summer! Not only do I have my vacation in July, I am just ready for it too be hot! I hate dreary days where it looks like it's going to rain but never does, which is what we seem to have had for the past 10 days!

6. I am pretty sure I suck at blogging! It's not that I never think about doing it because trust me I have lots of unpublished blogs its just that we don't live a very exciting life! I mean do people want to hear that I went to work, and to the grocery store, and home? No not really, but I guess I will try and spice up our life so we have something to blog about!

7. I am OVERLY addicted to the Monopoly game Albertsons is playing! I have a very obsessive, competitive personality, those of you who know me well enough shouldn't be that surprised by this. I mean how smart is Albertsons to do something like this to suck shoppers like me into an addicting game like this? I am completely aware that when I shop at Wal Mart I spend so much less but I keep finding excuses why we have to go to Albertsons, just so I can get tickets, I even go as far to make Andrew check out separately so we get more! Sad I know, I think I need an intervention. I am just going to put this out there, anyone with unused tickets just lying around feel free to go ahead and pass them on to me. :)

March Madness

I generally don't follow college sports, but I love March Madness. I think it's the competitiveness in me, but something about it really excites me. My bracket did okay the first day, I was 12 of 16. I am tied with everybody at work, but Andrew is ahead of me right now (It won't last long). The most disappointing thing for me though was BYU's loss to Texas A&M! Let me go on record that is the last time I will ever pick a Utah team over a Texas team, I should of stayed true to my Texan heart, I've learned my lesson!! My National Champion pick is North Carolina, and they smashed Radford, so hopefully it's a sign of things to come.

Go Tar Heels!!

Wii

Yay!! I left work at 6:00, walked out to my car and it was COMPLETELY frozen. I live in Texas, and it never occured to me to buy an ice scraper, so I just pulled out my credit card and started scraping, which didn't do any good because it was just refreezing, after my hands were numb i gave up and got in my car. I thought I had enough visibility to go ahead and drive, but about a foot into it I realized I didn't, so I decided to pull into the neighborhood next to the bank and just sit and wait till my car de-thawed. Well, I never made it that far. I stopped at the stop sign and started to turn right, but I hadn't pulled up far enough and started to hit the curb, so I slammed on the brakes, which didn't work because the road was already icing over, so I ended up going completely over the curb. I was totally freaked out because, it made such a loud noise and I could see the sign laying on the ground and I just assumed I had knocked it over. Everything ended up being fine, and I didn't hit the sign, just the curb but I decided I am never driving on ice or snow again, so I guess that eliminates the possibility of us ever moving up North!!!!

Settlers of Catan

I got this game for Andrew for Christmas, and I have to admit we are pretty much addicted, and apparently so is my family, because almost every time we have been over there since Christmas we have played...even my dad...so you know it must be a good game when he actually wants to play. We have ran into tons of scams, and I have been a little hesitant considering this would be my first dog, so we have just gone back and forth a lot. This weekend we had finally made the decision to take a chance and get a puppy for Christmas, so I had been looking around all week and came across a Shih tzu that I knew in my heart was our puppy. We got in touch with the breeder and she told us to come Saturday at 3:00. When we walked into her house another couple was holding MY puppy, the lady told us they were deciding if they wanted him or not. My heart broke, here I am standing there watching this couple "decide" if they want him when all I wanted to do was take him home right away. They ended up buying my perfect puppy, and I left in tears wondering why she made the appointment at 3 when if we had just come earlier we would of had our puppy. Now that I have had time to think about it, it was probably for the best and this doggy that I thought was meant for us just was not. For know I have put getting a puppy on the back burner, but hopefully one day I will have a doggy as precious as this one.

ICE @ the Gaylord

Andrew "trying" to slide but was not very succsessful. I am excited though, I still have not seen the apartment and when I do I will be sure to post pictures, cross your fingers my husband has good taste! :) I think I am getting a little sentimental, although I am really ready to get into a bigger apartment, as it gets closer I am getting a little sad because we are leaving our first apartment together. Both of us are extremely excited. The apartment we have been living in for the past year is only 600 sq. ft. and the new one is 760, so we are getting a lot more space, and I for one could not be any more excited. It is a little bittersweet because with the move comes the big Ward change. We just started to get to know people in our ward and did not want to move out but could not find anything compatible. I am really sad because I love Young Women, and have really loved getting to know the girls. It is the first time I have been in a ward where I know absolutley NOBODY, which is scary and intimidating to me, but I guess this is where you just have faith that the Lord knows best. This is the floorplan of our new place, and it comes with a two sided fireplace...we were totally hooked after that. :)

Grocery Shopping

How is it that you can send a man to the grocery store with a detailed list and even the aisles that the groceries are on and he comes home with something completely different than what you intended for him to get?

House Hunters

I love this show! We were tired being stuck in the car so we were eager to go out and explore the city. I guess living in Fort Worth our whole lives we have become accustomed to the hustle and bustle of downtown Fort Worth, but when we went downtown Phoenix it was a ghost town. I think that maybe we saw a three people and maybe five cars. It was pathetic. It sparks my curiosity though, was this because it was the 4Th of July or is Phoenix not as busy as people assume it to be? Needless to say after about an 1 1/2 hours we just went back to the hotel and took a nap until it was time to go see fireworks. I had read previously on MSN that Phoenix had really good fireworks so we were excited and were hoping that it would redeem our opinion of the city, but we had no such luck. When we woke up we realized it was about to storm, we went down anyway but after about 1 min of shooting off fireworks they cancelled due to excessive winds. We drove out of our way an extra couple of hours, and all we left with was disappointment. My advice, PHOENIX SUCKS. I should of known this since it is the home to the Steve Nash and the Suns, but I guess I was trying to be optimistic.

Road Trip Part 1: Destination--Phoenix

After I got off of work on the 3rd we loaded up the car and headed to San Diego. We ended up leaving about 7:30 and drove straight through the night till we got to El Paso where we pulled over and slept for a few hours. My wonderful husband drove the entire way through the middle of the night while I was in and out of sleep. There wasn't much to see considering it was pitch dark but come morning we realized there still wasn't much to see, but I did though see some weird plant that I became infatuated with, good thing too because it was about the only thing to see through New Mexico and Arizona. When I say the only thing, I do mean it because there wasn't even a gas station to look at for a very long time and I am pretty sure we pushed the car as close to the limit as possible without running out of gas. Needless to say we got gas in every big city, needed or not...you might say my husband was a little paranoid.
